A: It sure can, although you need to use caution when grilling so you don’t expose the probes to too much heat via flare up.

A: The Quad Xpro reads temperatures in approximately 3 seconds.

A: No, it doesn’t.

A: It has a strong magnet on the back. You can stick the device to any mental surface but keep it from high temperature.
Q: Can I use the meat probe as ambient probe?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: Will this work in a house stove oven?
A: Yes, it will.
Q: Does this have a low temp alarm? Doing an overnight smoke, it would be nice to have an alarm if my pit got below my temp zone.
A: Yes, you can set the low temperature alarm, which will automatically alarm when the measured temperature is lower than the set value.
Q: Can I use the ambient probe as a meat temp probe?
A: No, the air probe isn’t suitable for measuring food temperature.
Q: Can this be used in electric roaster?
A: Yes, it can.
Q: How long are the probe cables?
A: The probe cable length is 47 inches (1.2m).
Q: Can this be used inside in a kitchen oven as well?
A: Yes, it can. The probe can be placed in the oven to monitor the food temperature. Please be careful not to put the main unit or receiver into the oven.

A: Yes, when the measured temperature reaches the high temperature or low temperature alarm temperature, the receiver will alert.

A: No, they are connected by RF.
Q: Can I set the alarms at the receiver?
A: No, you can’t. You can set alarms on the base unit.
Q: Does this unit have a timer/counter?
A: No, it haven’t.
Q: If I want to smoke 4 kinds of meat, can the ambient temperature probe be used for meat monitoring?
A: No, the air probe isn’t suitable for measuring food temperature.
Q: How deep should the probe be inserted into the meat to accurately register a temperature?
A:The thermometer receives temperature data from the conical portion of the probe tip, please insert the probe tip in the position where you need to measure the temperature.
Q: How do I calibrate the unit?
A: You can long press the “CAL” button for 5 seconds to enter calibration mode, then use “+” and “-” button to adjust the temperature. The value of each channel can be calibrate separately.
Q: Can I use the Quad Xpro with just one probe or do I have to connect all probes each time?
A: You can just use one probe.
Q: Can I use two Quad Xpro to monitor two different smokers without them interfering with each other?
A: You can use more than one Quad Xpro, but it is not recommended to use more than one receiver at the same time, they may interfere with each other.
Q: Is the transmitter unit weather resistant?
A: The water resistant level of the thermometer is IP66, safe for outdoor use.
